REFLECTIONS

Experiences
Throughout the 14 weeks of adapting the completely new challenges for me, I was surprised that I'm still manage to complete all the assignments as it was difficult and time consuming. Throwing back to one of the subjects in foundation year, I took something related to design, but I was totally lost and tried my best to understand what the tutor were explaining in class. Although it was a very tough process and I promise myself not to take any design class anymore due to the lack of potential and creativity of myself in this field. However, here I am again is because one of my friends said that it will be fun and I have an empty slots while I am doing my Online Module Registration. Eventually, I feeling stressed and overwhelming throughout the weeks by completing the work in progress, or final submission. Nevertheless, the guidance and efforts from Mr. Vinod are very precious and vital as I am very grateful that he was patient and being generous for every work that I perform. I would said that I might not submitting the correct or impactful work for this module, but I definitely step out of my comfort zone and lasted for this 14 weeks.

Observations
Typography, which I wouldn't know it affect and appear rapidly in our life. Every fonts, letters, words, moving with it's size, style, alignments, shape, colors are present for a reason. It makes me observe more on the setting while I am working on other module or walking on the street while I saw some posters and so on. Additionally, I was impressed by design school students who manage to took four to five design modules in a semester and they need to complete all the works by weekly and each individual in the class brought their unique and incredible styles to their work.

Findings
In these weeks, I found out that I was lacking to monitor and record my works. There are several task that I did not show the progress of developing to the outcome because I do not used to duplicate the works and create another one for comparison or evidence the information as one of the learning process. This is a vital stage for not only apply it in design module, but in every steps that we are taken and is the proof that we made the path by ourselves. I received this mistake from now and will improved myself for every future steps that will be taken. Besides, I appreciate that Typography have provide me a space to enhance my creativity skills and technique skills. I am able to have more understanding on Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign, and Adobe Photoshop. On top of that, I have discovered some enjoyment and fulfillment in the process of learning and working about Typography. I might be not knowledgeable for this module but it affect my mindset that I would like to invest more in this field other than rejecting like my foundation year.
